Black and Blank...A Poem by Kaushik MitraThat accident turned all my green leaves, of my friend tree, to yellow, one by one, as if spring has arrived, not for me! I wish I could change this everlasting season! Surely, someday I will...
Walking down the lonely streets,
With darkness frozen all around! Holding a narrow white tube light, In which I'm now completely bound! Will this fractured tube ever glow? To help me as a guide and to enlighten! Situation forced me to count on it, That's why I'm a little bit frighten! Now my buddies avoid me, 'Cause I can't catch the ball anymore! Though I feel bad sometimes, Yet don't allow the feelings to cross the shore! My swimming pool now seems an ocean, When I'm just in the middle! At corners, cheeks resting on my palms, My early days make me giggle! My goosebumps can only feel the streams flowing through water, Not even the colour or the beauty! Yet I swim, float and dive, 'Cause I know I'm still little bit naughty! Now this stick is the only friend I have, As if a part of my soul! That was just an accident, Neither I blame nor was anyone's foul! Will you guys dare to hold me? Even if I may not hold your ball! Be with me, is my wish, I'm not needy, Yet just can't afford this life without you all! Someone who can hold me, Hug me tightly is what I want now! I'll start my life twice and make it divine, Seeing which you'll surely say "wow"!
