Eulogy part 1A Poem by ApocalypticChickDidn't know the genre. So it's under horror.

Sorrow as I walk through the doors Despair has fallen over us Peace of mind and not corrupt Casket here, casket there It seems like casket's everywhere A wooden or metal thing as pleased A thing holding the beloved deceased They say that there must be a reason But to some it simply seems like treason The smell of incense fills the room As we think of an impending doom Casket here or not The cars fill the parking lot The people all dressed up in black There is no emotion that they lack The children weeping for their mother Receiving comfort from their brother From far and wide families gather To mend their hearts that have been shattered A husband longing for his wife Sharing pain taken from the knife Filled with music and crying still The man walks past the windowsill The binder clutched onto my side The people started at me and cried For they knew what it held inside The sadness that they tried to hide Inside it held the eulogy A self written biography Once at the podium long I stood Rapping my fingers on the hard maple wood © 2012 ApocalypticChickAuthor's Note
