I thought of the idea from the abuse that goes on in the world. I wanted to write something people could relate to.

There is a family that lives in Brazil. The father, Azul is an abusive father and husband. His wife Sophia is always bruised. They have two teenagers. Sarah is 18 and Mark is 16. Over the years when Sophia goes to work her kids are reduced to dealing with dad. He has very bad anger problems.
When he hits the kids they end up with scars and blood. Sarah and Mark go to high school. Sarah and Mark's friends know about what happens. One Wednesday Mark was in his room playing his guitar. All of a sudden, he heard his father coming. Mark opened the window. Azul said, "Mark look at this report card. These grades are horrible." Azul smacked Mark and he hit the dresser.
When Azul left the room Sarah came in. She helped Mark stand up. Sarah said, "We are leaving. Pack your bags and bring your backpack." Mark said, "Where are we going?" Sarah said, " I tested Toby. I am going to stay with him. I texted Meleny and her parents said it was fine for you to be there." Mark said, "What do we do right now?" Sarah grabbed her stuff and said, "Jump out the window." Mark went first and then Sarah.
