Painting the town red is so over rated.

My Wonderful SMIF:
I saw online someone posting something about vacation trips to the moon in the near future. On one hand, I thought "Wow, what an experience." and then thought "What in the world would one do on the moon anyhow?!" And it seemed boring to me. Taking a walk seems like it would be so much more complicated without the benefit of gravity or interesting flora/fauna.
Last night, I was outside looking at the sky, wondering if you could see stars where you are because the sky is all muggy and red orange where I'm at. Not a single star to be seen. Do you have the same constellations where you are? And just the one moon? The moon was also hiding.
Today, however, I saw the moon in the clear blue sky.
And then it hit me! If I could go to the moon, I would paint it rainbow coloured. Pastel rainbow coloured. That way, there is always a rainbow in the sky and no one would have to wait for a storm to pass in order to experience the awesome beauty of a rainbow.
There wouldn't be the uncertainty of "Will there be a rainbow after these clouds have departed?" because everyone will always know that so long as the sky is visible, there's a rainbow waiting there for them. It's like knowing that the sun will still rise tomorrow. Except the rainbow will still rise tomorrow. No matter how stormy the weather, someone somewhere can see the rainbow. Perpetual rainbow in the sky. I would totally love that. Would you?
Whimsically Yours,
K
PS: I just remembered that the moon belongs to you. Would you let me paint it rainbow, my love? Would you help?
