Just Another

Just another day.
Just another smile to throw away.

I hide the pain.

Put up a tough front everyday,
Then there's those times,
I just can't hide it anymore.

Scars and sorrows showing through,
Nothing new.

Their faces say "Go away!",
As they push me the other way.

I still try to smile,
In the face of all that trouble.

Just another day,
Just another slash to add to the page.

I can't take the pain.

It's getting the best of me,
Now.

I'm afraid,
I don't wanna go,
But the razor blade just keeps pressing down.

It no longer hurts,
The pain's gone away,
Maybe now I can live,
For another day.

Or maybe not,
It's all going black,
I bid adieu to all of you,
You showed me pain,
No mercy in sight,
I tried to fight it,
But it won.

So I now say,
For the very last time...

"Goodbye."

This reminds me of my writing when I was younger and I was going through issues with bullying at school--along with my twin. I've learned that a lot of those people who harass and bully others end up being an entirely different person within 5 years time, or they are doomed to their immaturity and end up not succeeding or getting far in life. Though the world may be a dark and treacherous place, light a candle and be a light in a very dark...dim lighted room. Take heart, and hold your pen strong through the days of snow--and hold a resolve with expression fellow writer!

Thank you for reading my writing and reviewing it... I'm very sorry that you had to go through bullying, it's not something that I would wish upon anyone.. I've been bullied since I was two years old, and I'm now fifteen. It used to be really bad, I used to constantly think about suicide, and then I met my friends I have now and it all seems like a distant memory. I'm still bullied quite badly, and I still go back there occasionally, but they're able to pull me back quite quickly :3 I'm very glad that you were able to learn as you did, and hopefully you were able to get entirely away from the bullies.

I'm glad that your friends have kept you going--that really is what put me out of the dark corners of life and has given me a resolve to keep moving forward with felicity. I'm just seventeen--so I know exactly how you're feeling with things. Especially at a time where a lot of people are growing up with immaturity as their right hand man. xD Thank you for replying back as well. ^^/

Thanks, and I'm glad for you as well that your friends were able to help :3 It took my friends an I about three years to become close(At first they absolutely couldn't stand me, but they put up with me since they knew about my 'hardships' :P) but now I have two of the greatest friends in the world, and I wouldn't give them up for anything :)
And just know, if you'd ever like to talk about anything, I'd be more than happy to lend a listening ear :3 I don't know if I'd be able to help with anything, but I can try if you'd like ^-^

i found this very disturbing. it sounds as if you are being bullied and looking at your photo, perhaps it is because you are prettier than the average. i sincerely hope this is simply an expression of how you are feeling and not literal. life is hard, get's easier, harder, easier, etc, etc. Some people are cruel, but there are more that aren't and i look forward to reading you when things start to get easier for you, as you express yourself well and other's should be listening to you. warm regards, Indie

Actually yes, I have been bullied since I was in preschool. Though, it truly is not because of my looks, I'm not pretty at all. I'm not exactly sure what it is, but I've just always been the target for harassment in every form. This writing was written during a time when it was just expressing my feelings, but it is also expressing my literal actions just a few years ago. I do understand that life flexes in how it's going to treat us, I just don't like it :P I do have some writings on here that I wrote during more decent times, and I also have one story written about the time I met my two saviors :3 I understand that my life is not all bad, and I understand that one day it will get better, but it's very taunting thinking about how far away that day may be.

who knows for sure why some people attract spiteful attention, but I believe if one shows weakness, the bullies pick up on this as it makes one an easy target, or perhaps they feel threatened by one's better looks or intellect. Bullying can have everlasting consequences and can literally destroy lives. I hope you are strong enough to not let them win and are getting support from school. warmly, Indie-

Well, whatever reason they have for bullying me, I certainly hope it's a good one for what they've done :) I really don't judge them too harshly, I know that some of them have family issues and they probably just don't know how to deal with them.. There are so many reasons why a person would be cruel to another, it really is impossible to tell... For a long time I hated everyone, especially the ones who bullied me, but I'm beginning to realize that instead of hating them, I should possibly be trying to help them. I don't know if I'd ever be able to succeed, or if they really do even need help, but to be so cruel to another human being as they have been to me, there must be something very wrong to give them that much darkness within... And thank you, I'm trying to become strong, it's just taking awhile..
