Waif

Waif

A Poem by Kaotic Barbie
"

America and it's criminals..

"

You could have killed me by this time
And the world would have let you by
What has happened to this counrty?
Why do we let everything fly?

Assault on a young woman isn't a crime
Not even by a fifty year old man.
Is that what america feels is right these days?
I guess if O.J could then this man can.

Throwing me to the ground so harsh
Leaving a contustion on my right arm
But the courts don't believe hes a criminal
Like he's the person who has done no harm.

I hide the tears behind my red eyes
What does it take to put animals behind bars?
Does he have to gun me down or stab me?
Or break a bone or hit me with his car?

It absolutely makes no sense anymore
How american leaders can let things slide
We the people, the victims should not have to suffer
But in this criminous world we have to abide.

So I will have to arm myself in my sleep
Keep one eye open to stay the least bit safe
Why are we unprotected in such a harsh world?
America has left me an abused child, a waif.
