The love you leave behind

I started to feel really sorry for the character and thought it was quite sad to write, but I thought I would publish it anyway. Enjoy.

Crack, Scream, Splash

The coldness strangles you.

You feel every part of your body, the pain cutting through.

You try to think warmly, but the pain is all in your mind.

See them out on the land, but they can't reach you.

They are your loved ones, but nothing to do now.

It is winter afterall, this water has frozen, just like the blood in your body.

You wave one last time to them, utter the words "I love you".

Then sink down beneath, it was the love you left behind.
