When thinking it swallows but only defeated by a smileA Poem by katiieYou can breathe deep and take me all in, grasp my breath but I won't let you. You can swallow me and dig your teeth into my heart, but I won't let my guard down. You can play your song and linger me in, but I won't fall for your love. You can put your rope around my soul, but I will break free. You can send your savages for me, but I will be waiting for I do not fear you. You can try to please my lips, but the taste will never satisfy my lust. You can claw your nails at my neck, but I will still search for air. You can whisper against my skin, but the words will always make me cringe. You can make your path welcoming, but my feet will never kiss the depths of it. You can press your touch against my finger tips, but my palms will never open. You can shake the plate tectonics of my life, but I won't let the pieces fly in my eyes. You can try with your handsome self and bring me to your home, but I will never walk in, for He will always rescue me. © 2008 katiieAuthor's Note
