If Only

Feelings and wishes...

If only,
I could forget everything,
That's happened to me up until now.
Then maybe,
I could be smiling right now.


I feel shadows reaching for my heart,
They look like claws.
They want me back in the darkness.
The shadows want to destroy my very being,
To crush my heart till there's nothing left.


If only the pain I feel would go away.
And maybe then I could walk with confidence,
With no fear in my mind.


Cold air is all around me.
It dries up my throat,
And freezes my body.
I can't speak.
And I feel as if,
I'm frozen in time.


If only,
I could stay like that for a while.
So I won't have to live another day,
Full of lies.

So I won't have to go experience,
The same horrible feeling I feel everyday.


If only I could live in the sky.
I would want to stay there forever.
It would brighten up my dark life.
And maybe, 
I could start my life all over again.

No more having to think,
about all my problems.


If only,
I wasn't bound to the sadness I feel.
Let the chains break and set me free.

If only...

I have been bleeding over things that happened to me 14 years ago. I bleed over my whole life. It is a strange situation because although the pain becomes unbearable sometimes, I can still smile because I survived it all.
