Ocean Dance

Ocean Dance

A Poem by Vanessa Whiteley

In the midst of coral ballrooms,

small fish line dance

in flawless synchronisation

as crabs dance the tango

in nippy sidestep,

dramatic as Valentino,

their softer selves

concealed beneath the shell.

And up above, belles,

tentacles unfolded, attuned

to turning tides, jellyfish

waltz fluid amid the waves.

It's a wonderful day for Blue waves and dancing. And these are such lovely words.
