Butterfly Sky

Butterfly Sky

A Poem by Vanessa Whiteley

Closing wings of blue
morpho,
coloured skies tinged angel white,
flap, briefly, at end  of day
before
dark clouds conceal you.

Perhaps we should all start thinking of making a Chofu anthology and if we do what you've done here and in the previous poem, must certainly be highlighted as some of the best.

Another gorgeous chofu. I'm almost speechless. siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh

Notice I said, "almost."

Beautiful images here Vanessa.
I often think of our time as humans on earth similar to the butterfly to simply flap our wings and show faint instances of our beauty.

Butterflies live briefly and serve their purpose which is to lay eggs but we humans enjoy the isght of them even though we curse their offspring for feeding on our plants

You certainly get the feel of a stormy day and someone standing on a beach watching a butterfly in flight...or at least I do. Good capture of the mood, and an excellent chofu.

Lovely! Catches the fluttery flightiness of the butterfly so well ...

Nice. Short, but definitely gives a very vibrant glimpse of a butterfly. Great Job!
