You’ve got to find your happiness
Happiness is stubborn It does not want to be found It will not come to you in the form of a sweet boy with big brown eyes It will not come to you in the form of money It will not come to you in the form of possessions It will not come to you at all But if you search, you will never find it The only way to find this thing you long for Is to be other’s happiness Even if it is only for a second Help the elderly woman with her groceries Tell the girl sitting next to you in biology that you like her drawings Buy your mom an unexpected gift Tell the man walking in front of you that he dropped his wallet, and pick it up for him Give the homeless woman a pair of gloves and a few extra dollars Stand up for the boy at school who is bullied everyday The smiles that these simple acts of kindness bring Is where you will find your happiness © 2016 k.m.b. |
