Night Rapture

Night Rapture

A Poem by Kathy Van Kurin
"

Special Occasion of Night.

Night Rapture

Last sun glow trails over horizon a crystalline coalesce.

Slightest breezes curling in grace, please do not withdraw.

This side of night barely conceived. Saturn holds its place.

Heavenly bodies declare the glory of God. We are in awe.

Great moon lantern now mature- Star choirs sing praise.

Heaven’s bowl of black velvet night holds twinkling light.

Stars, planets, moon boldly testify. Night hangs in space.

Wonder flows out as if from my inner soul deep delight.

To stand open face against heaven’s Welcoming embrace.

Holding tenuous life breathe so afraid beauty may flee.

Great Moon’s orb, the witness to fire of sun glories enlace

O True beauty, its presence welcomed within soft light free!

It was an awesome experience while going through this poem, which was beautifully penned in sonnet style...I like the way you ended your poetry, as it carries a great finishing touch with suitable words selection.

Has almost the sound of a mystical experience. On clear nights, however, as we look up into the dark sky and contemplate it, it is difficult not to feel a sense of awe. A little more inspiring than the expressway at rush hour.

We sure stand in awe when we witness the night skies and how everything has its place and purpose. You shed twinkling lights on this glorious part of the general creation of God. Your poem is full of great observations and thankfulness.

So true and well said. You are welcome 😊.
I used to see night skies like this but now here in Tulsa it is hard enemy to find the Big Dipper. Venus and Mars hang out but Saturn is a no show.
Enjoyed your space walk .
