A Spring Ode of Hope

A Spring Ode of Hope

Hues within multi-ribbon catches,

Sunset flames adorn highest branches.

Chickadee-serenades are stirring.

Crescent Haloes,

A sapphire yearning.

Firmament full of Cornelian Patches,

Lustrous dreams of reality flashes.

Colors of meaning,

All adorning.

Living hope rings early morning.

World within Catches glory without.

Grande coalesce to future route.

A cascade of brilliant colors in this one. I think the poet is emphasizing them to capture the emergence of new life in the spring season. Spring is the season of new hope, the time of resurrection from the tomb of winter. The last lines indicate a coalescence of within with without, a metaphor for the possibilities of the spirit, as reflected by nature.

I must of read this at least twenty times the things you see in a sunrise go way beyond this bunny's eyes but it was very nice seeing them from your prisms... the sapphire yearning is lovely and the absorbing the spectrum a lovely sentiment my favorite is the last two lines pure gold

I just love how you beautifully string words together and make a symphony with them. My mind dances with this poem from all the vivd pictures that flow through my mind as I read it.

That line alone catches my brain on fire! I love to read your work! I aspire to invoke as much feeling in my work as you. It truly is inspiring! Love this one!

HAPPY SPRING!! Light is soooo beautiful!
Winter is now over the horizon, layers of clothes are coming off.
Birds are making nests. New life is in the air. Don't know why, but I still look over my shoulder.

I am always grateful for those who "analyze and find meaning and beauty" ; since the change of seasons is so obscenities-driven in the Midwest where I live. It snowed last Sunday and today it's 70 degrees. The tulips and the blackberries cant fathom sun from the rancor of chill long enough to be free to bloom. I read through the entire poem and did not even notice the rhyme scheme.....my bad....but beauty is like that isn't it? It never really takes us by surprise....We are just surprised when it takes us// beautifully written....dana

great stuff Kathy. one of my favorites of yours i think. hope springs eternal. every day is a new birth and seasons are especially cherished because we've gone through dark and cold to finally emerge in warmth and light. this is the essence of life. without hope, precious colors and a new season we are lost. taking place right now as i look out my window and most importantly in our hearts ... :)

Colors of meaning,

All adorning.
