A Spring Ode of Hope

A Spring Ode of Hope

A Poem by Kathy Van Kurin
"

Inner realization and joy knowing the winter cold is ebbing away and Spring is coming to stay.r

"

A Spring Ode of Hope

Hues within multi-ribbon catches,

Sunset flames adorn highest branches.

Chickadee-serenades are stirring.

Crescent Haloes,

A sapphire yearning.

Firmament full of Cornelian Patches,

Lustrous dreams of reality flashes.

Colors of meaning,

All adorning.

Living hope rings early morning.

World within Catches glory without.

Grande coalesce to future route.

A cascade of brilliant colors in this one. I think the poet is emphasizing them to capture the emergence of new life in the spring season. Spring is the season of new hope, the time of resurrection from the tomb of winter. The last lines indicate a coalescence of within with without, a metaphor for the possibilities of the spirit, as reflected by nature.

Spring is a transitional pre season easing its way into
summer. .as Autumn is transitional in preparing us for winter..I always tend to think there are just 2 main seasons summer and winter..I love how you paint spring with its refreshing vibrancy in color..beautiful piece.. dear Kathy..

i think your closing two lines are killer ... wraps up what comes before as a person melds into that sense of oneness ... assurance ... blessedness ... i especially like this line " A sapphire yearning." ... what this means to me?? hmmmmmmmm i am meditating in a forest as the sun goes down ... there is a loves connection between the sun and moon ... the moon is dependent .. but has dreams .. and so inspires dreams independently ...
"Colors of meaning,
All adorning." ....makes me think of Fall, tho your poem is of Spring :) ..I see a looking past Winter's sleep ... and the sun going down .. there is hope ... and again .. such an insightful Life look in your closing lines ... reminds me of the Beatles song:

Sunset flames adorn highest branches and we see the multi ribbon catches. The beauty of spring is very well perceived and you have interestingly narrated the beauty. Early morning gives us hopes of living and we feel this of course. This poem is excellently penned with elaboration of vision. This is an excellent poem. ..100

To me, springtime symbolizes renewal. You use strong imagery in your poem that conveys the feeling of new beginnings. Your message is stated with many original-sounding observations from a springtime tableau that is unlike what many writers describe in plentiful springtime poems. Your message also seems to suggest the Easter theme of rising up from some previously lower point in one's life or mindset (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
