Enveloped

Enveloped

A Poem by Kathy Van Kurin
"

What drives the human soul?

"

Enveloped

We are enveloped

 -In hopes, dreams and expectations.

This Inner life

-Longs to come to flame as a candle.

Living in a dance of words

 Expressed through emotion’s refrain,

Do we long to come together as one?

Crescendo then pause in softness,

Begin a measure anew?

Speak to me, even if short the song.

Find my voice in yours,

To learn, impart, question.

Share thoughts, and joyous harmony.

I have always believed that we are connected in an ethereal sense, which I picture as the spiritual energy of God. Your poem (which I love) reminds me of this network I imagine, detailed with all the jewels along the path, which are the connections we make, whether brief or long-lasting (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

I love this, Kathy.
I often feel like I myself am living in a dance of words, too.
But what a wonderful life it is.
i think we all long to come together as one, too, it's just in our nature to liberate ourselves from each other as well.
We are sort of born into and out of this constant tug-of-war.

Thank you for sharing this.

Each of us has a song,
and to be honest,
it can be hard to follow along.
This is why we continue to sing.

Soon,
you might hear it,
and we will all sing along.

Beautiful poem Kathy. Your words encourage us to seek each other and share our love and goodness with each other. We are made in the image of God, therefore we all share spiritual attributes. We are called to repair and make whole the broken body of Jesus Christ. Your poem calls for community and in building the true church of Christ. Your words translate not to seek individual glory but that of true fellowship of brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ.
Many Blessings,
Richie b.

Great question you ask, Kathy.
Why are humans so different from everything in the animal kingdom.
The thought process that keeps us going.
Are we all part of a grand plan.
I really don't know.

So true. You are welcome...
When we are enveloped with unity, love and harmony of spirit, we connect on deeper levels of humanity. The foundations we all share or can share keep us centered to the core of our true nature. Your poem is marvelous and shares truth anew.

This is one of the core things that makes life worthwhile. I feel sorry for those who cannot find their way out from under pressing survival issues to participate in the renewal of there own heart path. I know that even with just everyday life happening I forget my place in the universe. Reading words like these and writing helps keep my spiritual cup full. Loved this a lot.
