What drives the human soul?

 

Enveloped

 

We are enveloped

 -In hopes, dreams and expectations.

This Inner life

-Longs to come to flame as a candle.

Living in a dance of words

 Expressed through emotion’s refrain,

Do we long to come together as one?

Crescendo then pause in softness,

Begin a measure anew?

Speak to me, even if short the song.

Find my voice in yours,

To learn, impart, question.

Share thoughts, and joyous harmony.

Just a simple description of life's heart need.

I have always believed that we are connected in an ethereal sense, which I picture as the spiritual energy of God. I think sometimes that all the many times, experiences now forgotten are not forgotten to my Lord God and that somehow these experiences still somehow live and shine as the layers which are the foundation of everything I am. As you wrote above, 'with all the jewels laong the path which are the connections we make, whether brief or long-lasting. Your a jewell Miss Margie!

I often feel like I myself am living in a dance of words, too.
But what a wonderful life it is.
i think we all long to come together as one, too, it's just in our nature to liberate ourselves from each other as well.
We are sort of born into and out of this constant tug-of-war.

Paul, I love how you think! I was reading a book by Louise Penny and one of the characters said poetry is dangerous because it brings about thinking and questioning. Which can change our lives. I had not looked at it that way before. Definitly agree, that we do have many 'thought processes which keep us going.' Love your review sir!

This is one of the core things that makes life worthwhile. I feel sorry for those who cannot find their way out from under pressing survival issues to participate in the renewal of there own heart path. I know that even with just everyday life happening I forget my place in the universe. Reading words like these and writing helps keep my spiritual cup full. Loved this a lot.
