Easter is a time to reflect; to sit quietly still in contemplation! Your words and emotional delivery from the heart reminds us all of selfish sacrifice. 'Do we know of your love, bright shining?' - you ask ... we certainly did by Easter Monday ... bless :-)

Yes. Easter time is God's wake up call to us as we consider what He is telling us. Reflection needs some quietness of heart and time to think and seek the voice of the Lord. This poem was my little journal of within as I contemplated why and who I am In Christ.....all because of Christ! I love your review and your gift of affirmation and giving good input. Thank you much.

Kathy,
Your beautiful poem speaks of Hope. Christ's commitment to share His Love and Gift of Heavenly Eternity are hard to put into words. We made Good Friday a violent bloody sacrifice. The Father turned into an act of compassion and forgiveness.
Your words remind us to be vigilant to the message of Jesus Christ's act of unconditional Love. Without Good Friday there is only darkness.
Blessings,
Richie b.

As I was reading your review (and thank you for reading my above writing) I thought of the hymn, "Oh the blood of Jesus, it washes white as snow. Good Friday reminds of the darkness of sin but that it is the incredible cost of this sin that was the only way to bring anyone into a place of oneness with Jesus. It is a great mystery and beyond description but we people do try for we want to underestand. Love your response and sharing with a heart for explanation. I know it is important to me.

I would change shadows to hidden or covered mysteries. In God there is no shadow or wavering (James 1:17). God is hidden in his thinking and purposes (Isaiah 55:8-9) which we are too limited to fully understand.
Easter is the message: Christ is Life, if we accept his death cleans our sins and obey his commands (the Way and Truth), he will resurrect us to life in perfection filled with his Spirit. Christ saves many but not those who refuse to heed his call.

Yes, God is the master artist of all things 'meanigful and deep. We hold the imprint of God when we give our pain to Him and He loves so much to have died on our behalf to wash us of every sin, pain, wrong done to us and we to others. Jesus is Lord.
Blessings to you.

A wonderful poem for Good Friday.
"Messiah, you came to save every lost soul.
You’ll not leave even one little lamb crying.
For your mission is seeking and saving unloved children,
-Covered, in shadows weight."
The lines above. Endearing words we need to remember. Thank you Kathy for sharing the amazing words and your thoughts.

Your gift for communication and clear insight is not missed in work you share here on this site. I know that you will only continue to grow. Everything we are is part of the great diamond of God's creation and we are each just one little facet. How amazing. I know that their are times that I feel lost and like a little lost lamb. Being alive surly does not make us perfect. Jesus did not come to make bad people good. He came to love us as we are and we receive his perfect gift. His life for ours. Thats how I feel. Just sayin.............
Blessings,

God's tablet of creation, is one of His best medium for the presentation of His Son, the Lord of creation. What essence of His love He has for us; displayed eternally, visible yet hidden, clear enough for little children yet beyond the grasp of too sinful men. Precious and few, it seems, those reminders that are ever with us and go unnoticed.

Yes. We are so tenuously placed, realizing as you say, that what other message can even matter compared to the saving knowledge of Christ. He gives the only 'life' that even matters at the end of the day. At the end of time.....well you get my drift. Like an eight step program in a way. We admit we are sinners and need the higher power. Christ Jesus, the hope of Glory. My mind is tired, it is beyond me.

Testimony. We all share a testimony of some kind don't we? By our very lives... To accept that the groaning weight of our humanity and it's difficult reality is in need of a Savior.. we are then released from this weight, this pain, this sin. Jesus came that we might walk in the light as He is in the light. "Free gift for all humanity." In a way its free but our identity is then in Christ. Thanks so much for your thoughtful words considering and identifying. I truly enjoy the camaraderie and thinking involved.

Your review truly warmed this soul. The warmth and blessings of others between and amonst ourselves are such a gift! So much in this life is about materialism and greed; to much speed and to much of everthing but the sweetness of the slow it down life. Your gift here is to affirm and help with kindness. I feel like God is Good beyond Measure and this poem flowed from my simple heart.
Thank you and thanks again.
