Your beautiful words let me hear the crackle, feel the warmth and smell the woodsmoke of the campfire. Trees "drenched in dripping diamonds of moonlight"- lovely alliteration and imagery...such precious moments in time with your husband shared. Thank you so much for sharing them with us!

How nice to make your aquaintance. Yes, your words are pretty much in agreement of this poem's reality. How fun and rewarding as youv'e written above: "hear the crackle, feel the warmth and smell the wood smoke of the campfire." all bathed in moonlight luminous. Thank you for coming here to read someone new and thankful you have.

This poem is packed with imagery and sensational writing. I could feel the comforting flames and hear the gently crackling fire in the beginning. And the description of the picturesque night is beautifully done. I like the image of "dripping diamonds" in the night sky.

That is beautiful. The imagery, the feeling and the story of life. Everything read was limned beautifully, wonderfully. I loved the lines,
"Late night trees, now drenched in dripping diamonds of moonlight!"
"For your precious moon rules the night."
The whole poem was a pleasure to read, but these lines stood out a lot. Tyfs!!!

Yes, youv'e got that right. I love to just soak up the show! The night is a time of beautiful process within moon process. Thanks so much for taking some time to comment and read. I hope you "capture some magic of your own."
You painted a very vivid picture with your words. I wished I was there myself! Sometimes the night, especially if the moon is shining, can be a lovely place of 'sweet stillness'. Nicely done.

A lovely title for a poem and well attributed to the flow of moonlight cast upon a hushed serenity.
As always, your poem is written with a sense of wonder and joy for the simple phenomena we take for granted in life; the sounds and sights of flame and moonlight in the dark of the woods. To write like this, one needs to be attuned to one's surroundings, and your words illustrate your ability to do just that.
The woods at night, bathing in the majesty of Queen Moon, must be a wonderful place to reflect on life and be fortunate for what one has around them.
Another fine write, Kathy.

Thank you for your "soothing" words. Don't we long to be soothed sometimes? I think you have spoke a great truth. Love is soothing too. The thing so wonderful is that love is not limited. We can care about everyone in different ways. It is unfathomable. Thanks so much for your time spent here reading and for a nice review Pia.

You have given a simple and good take on what is special: "the forest at night." We are busy and surrounded by much which is unatural. To find reprieve within the forest or even our own parks or backyards of an evening is just plain special. You are so right being with others is just special as well and so needed. "Seeing quiet beauty." You said it!
Thanks for your review and presence here.
