Iv'e been wanting to write a long awaited poem of coming Spring since late winter. My husband and I noticed a robin had built a nest on our front door light. No front yard work for us.
Did a little editing and the punctuation may not be perfect. Took our the few smaller font lines. Thank you to those who were so kind and seemed to like it.

There is much delight in every season but the winter season is one which it takes a relaxed and accepting attitude to find it. I know that we all look forward to the gentle comfort and newness of warmth and growth with Springs special charms.
I appreciate the birds nest and flowers too. I hope that you continue to dream of Spring! And I enjoyed your lovely review.

Ah' 'Erithacus Rubecula' how amazing is that. We had a swallow build its nest around a naked light bulb last year just outside our porch in our little mountain hide away in Bulgaria. But enough of that.... What an absolute delight to stumble upon these fine words in mid November, which is my least favourite month and as I too, eagerly anticipate all that the coming Spring promises......Bravo Kathy........Neville

Oh my, you have the name of the snow drop! I am tickled. I get what your saying, November is a waiting month somehow. summer has spun down and winter has not fully blown in, much less another spring. But, oh we need it's nurturing warmth and hope. Your review is lovely and its nice to read ones like yours that are just a note of thankfulness.
Blessings, and thanks for reading and commenting.

I know it August - but came across this and loved it! The imagery, content and nostalgic poetic theme throughout, to me was sentimentally charming … :-)

Hi Kathy,
It's winter where I am now and it's great. But here the winters are very mild, like a long spring. The way your poem documents the returning plants and animals makes it a great read, and the alliteration hopes- hearts- healing was a lot of fun.
I see you're a lover of nature and its always great just to take it all in and experience the beauty.
Great to read your work.
