This Soul

Inner light of the soul pushing against the heart-mind within this life.

 

This soul

 

Smooth human shell

-Holds vulnerable awareness.

My living Soul’s vibrancy

 -Swells life.

 

Clicking seconds mock

 But flee the piercing.

Life’s piercing Struggles

 -Are lessons.

 

God is constant and available.

It’s me today and yesterday

 -In the mirror.

 

Oh, I must hold my spark close,

 -Tis Jesus’ lantern light.

 

See, choose, and share

 For Christ’s light dispels darkness.

 

We are all partners

 -Within, this life’s Frey.

 

I have met you

-Hungry for meaning.

To be heard.

To be loved.

This is beautiful & gracefully written. I love it when a person can share specifics of a certain faith without it sounding the least bit preachy. In your author's note you suggest: "take what is workable" . . . that suggestion is appreciated, but not needed becuz your writing itself is an open invitation to know & share your way of seeing life, even if one is not of the same faith. I LIKE YOUR FLORAL ARRANGEMENT.

This is a good poem.
I'm glad you brushed upon such an important aspect of life which is the soul, which is God's divine spark in us. The omnipresence of Our Creator makes it possible for Him to be present at once within the mind/soul of each individual human and animal.
So that means although we are each a divine spark of God, our soul, our mind, cannot see what the next man or woman is thinking; whereas The Creator knows what each animal and human is thinking, all at the same time.
And that is the knowledge of the soul, its relevance and connection to us and our Maker, that each human must be aware of.

Life is full of distractions pulling at us. That we can find inner sanctuary is to me amazing. "God is constant and available." We are so in need of this love and strength. For me it just makes all the difference. I always enjoy your reviews and appreciate your positive and affirming attitude.

The fragility of life is one of the things that makes it so beautiful; a butterfly wing, a gossamer spider web or a daisy growing wild from the concrete cracks. I am a flower, nourish me.. delicate I am, shade me..invite me to endure time and i will still die but, be remembered for once having been alive.

Those words sum up at least part of my thoughts on 'the soul'. What remains when the spirit fades?
And that in turn, shelters others when nights are pitch black. Perhaps.
