Awareness

In the day to day of life, I find more and more an awareness that this life is not just an empty vessel but a very real place of belonging. I belong to God. He loves......me. Amazing, but He does.

 

Awareness

 

Swelling intensity, Overflowing Christ reality;

Pure awareness,

vacuum filled.

Coursing strength and power Enter my soul

Water of life my drink.

I am a Growing vine

 Longing to bear fruit.

Jesus holds and supports me

There is no shame!

Joy, hope and peace are my song.

Dependency on God’s Spirit;

 Pure relief, my release.

Author's Note

As a flawed human being I know that my need for the presence and love of Jesus- Messiah, the Christ has and continues to give meaning and living bright color to the empty and questioning places within this heart. After all, every battle we wage and hope for release and healing is on this inner plain. I know this poem is a small one but it is just the smallest glimmer of the life that I have been given as a free and lovely gift...............Jesus blood. His sacrifice on the cross so long ago has bought me and I am His child; Loved child. Healing and wholeness have become my song.

I love this line: "Water of life my drink." -- some seem to portray a pious life as being about something heavenly or saintly, but it's just plain ole life . . . getting thru life . . . hard as it may be sometimes & knowing we have an advocate (God) who's beyond imagination, as far as teaching us little doggies how to get along! I know I am a mortal human being needy and in need of my Lord Jesus Christ. No doubt. Where I am weak He is strong and makes my heart sing. Healing from the inside out has been my tune. Day by day life goes along but I am not alone. For I know who holds this life. Jesus is Lord.

I think just being human makes you flawed. Faith is such a powerful emotion. I like the belonging it gives you. I'm always amazed at people who have everything, yet always feel empty inside. Yet just life itself can be a high. Sadly now, religion seems to have been hijacked by the fanatics. But that's the bad. Still a lot good in the world today.

I laughed when I read this title (check my last poem) :D ...

I feel the deeper we look for solace within ourselves the more answers are gifted to us.

I have been pondering for a while now the fact that I am currently wading through a purely introverted current in life, and as I see pictures of friends and family on social media out about and doing new things - I wonder, if I myself am doing the right thing - but yes, in all of my self questioning i am becoming less attached with the trivialities and less attached with being attached (if that makes sense) ... and its a great thing, in fact it soothes the soul ... less attached equals more awareness - more awareness gains sensitivity for the world and all of its inhabitants - it's a great place to hang out :D

Your work exemplifies the very energy coursing through your veins as to how feel about your own increasing awareness, well done X

I can appreciate the focus of what it seems you are speaking here.The word awareness is huge and speaks to the the switch or the turning point of material focus to a heart-focus. For some at least that may be what it is..........am I close to yours? Anyhow your phrase "less attached with being attached" is pretty cool. It's meaning at least when I read it was like the sloughing off of concerns of status, wealth, self importance, am I pleasing everybody..................and the list can just go on for we people are so creative in our own ways. Hope that makes sense. I love your review by the ways cause it shows a lot of thought and questioning which to me is healthy and so good.............Bless you dear ....................Kathy

God must be amazing, incredible and beyond comprehension but this earth gives little hints in it's beauty. I believe people are directly created from the hand of the creator as well. Hints, clues. wait for our finding. People are so curious, People seek love and give love. It is like a driving force, an imprint or a signature on a painting. In all of the many faceted themes; music, art, writing you name it. It is like we are walking around the edge of what draws us. We desire and need to be loved; true fulfillment..............................But also there is so much pain, evil........again we can make quite a list.....One remains and where do we go for release. Jesus says.....I Am the Way the Truth and the Life no one comes to the Father but by Me. This whole world is so big and the need overwhelming. This is a lovely poem of acknowledging the influence of the divine power. The basic animation force that creates and destroys Universes at pure will and it is our fortune if we are able to sense and acknowledge that invisible beauty of creation in one life time.
