I agree with tabby, you're gifted. I love escpecially nature and environment poetry.
I also love the Maple trees. I have silver maples, one sugar maple, three or four Japanese maples (don't you just love how they look like reefer?) and I love this poem.
Please keep up the great work.

Thanks for reviewing 'Maple Girl.'
I think there are many gifts in all of our lives, that is if we recongnize them as such. To be thankful is the biggest gift I think. I appreciate your mention of natural beauty within your own life...gifts. Trees are something which are so lovely to me. They sure do put on a show come autumn. I hope you are enjoying this time of year too.
Blessings,
Kathy

Hey Kathy,
I really enjoyed your little Maple girl. Your most welcome :)
I love the personification of "Maple Girl" . . . I have a similar sycamore tree that is the last hold-out before winter is fully upon us here! I love your descriptions of letting go, contrasting the hearth with the cool mist, & so many other ways to welcome winter (somewhat reluctantly as I always do!) Great job using this symbol to show us this recognizable transition!

The seasonal changes remind us to not hold to tight to any one part of life to tightly for it is temporary but at the same time so vulnerable and precious. It would be neat to see your sycamore tree as I've not seen one. Keep being a blessing. Kathy
So much atmosphere in this. Like the moist mists of Autumn. Sad, still, beauty.

I love to share my thoughts within writing. I know you do as well. Autumn is such a time of introspection and deep thought as we treasure and ponder the fleeting days that live within all of us. Thanks so much for your thoughtful review. I like your three ending words for they say a lot in a straightforward way..........." Sad, still, beauty." Bless your life and interests. Happy New Year!! Kathy

I hope that we all can encourage one another in same way while writing. To think that just by sharing a poem another person will receive something to lend a little light. Thank you so much for giving me your great and helpful input! Bless you today and in the days to come. Kathy
You know what Kathy. There are no trees in my garden but in my street there are two rows - of different kinds. I love the way you've personified yours - it makes me think of them as rows of sentinels of sorts now, showing us humans how to deal with change. (Not my forte).
I don't think I'll ever look at them again in the same light.

Your center of focus sounds very interesting to me. The landscape of trees on your lane sounds quite lovely. It is nice to enjoy what one has just because. I like your description regarding what you read on my site as well. Very helpful and informative to see the position others have on the same writing! Bless you in your writing and everything else.........................Kathy
Lovely words, I feel the same way about my avocado tree, although it doesn't gift all the colours ... that line ... you know how to let go the past ... is my favourite ... nature, it's there, all around us, asking for nothing, and what do we do, ask of it so much ... nature always springs back, if only we give it a chance ...
beautiful words Kathy XXX

Unbelievable, mesmerizing Kathy, it's very pleasing and I don't know what it is but there is something that speaks through your words, they speak of a beauty that is slowly passing away with the arrival of winter. I personally felt the uses of picturous words build the right feeling for the poem... Great work... It's glad to be back at your page...
