Evening season slowly whispers in breezes light;
"Cherish me within your heart's thrum-"
"I am your God-given inheritance."
These beautiful lines perhaps encapsulate the entire code to unspoiled spiritual joy and happiness. If only we just carried these God given joys, these blessings in our hearts' thrum always, life would be heaven on earth. Thank you Kathy for sharing the magic unfolding around us...

Balance of God awareness and how to live it in this sometimes crazy world is the challenge, I think. We somehow know as people that there is something more than ourselves. Many find this to be true but not always early on. Life is so precious and people are precious too. Thank you for encouraging me with your visit. It is always nice to think through these important life issues of writing with others. I hope you have somewhere special to be inspired and refreshed. Bless your for your thoughtful review..............kathy

Ah, you carried me away, for a moment, to a beautiful place, for I love ponds, streams, lakes, and rivers and all the wildlife that stirs there ... Beautifully done!

Thanks! I hope you have many lovely times of space amidst as many of these places as possible. I understand what your saying; even the banks, sands and all trees and plants surrounding are so wonderful! Thanks so much for giving my little poem a read and of course your nice happy comment................Bless you much. Kathy.

yea! that is so cool and so very right. Take care Mr. Valormore... Kathy
Kathy, I dropped by again and almost at random picked this one. It seems to confirm my first impression that you are more aware of our natural world than most, and that your knowledge and love of nature create delightful pictures. As I read this, I imagined a video unfolding showing all these sights and sounds that most folk have no idea about. A little tale for you. I volunteer at a wildfowl centre near my home in Gloucestershire, and I car-share with a fellow volunteer who lives nearby. Braving the cold early morning I stood on my drive to await his arrival and had about 5 minutes of birdsong. He is a self confessed avid birdwatcher, so when he arrived I asked him to briefly switch off his engine and listen. He identified about 6 different birds and thought there was another that he couldn't quite pin down. Too often we just rush on. But you truly observe, and then you write in beautiful pictures. Nice job!

You are so right about the unique habits, voices, and beauteous ways of each individual creature in their bird type ways! I am entranced by them and have a private place near a watershed bordering a thicket that I go sometimes to think, ponder and just meditated on God's goodness and of course write occasionally. I like knowing that you have a lovely and enjoyable activity such as your volunteer work with wild fowl. It sounds wonderful! Keep enjoying the many opportunities that come your way and find many joys.........To a great and kind guy.........................Kathy

To take pleasure in the sounds, smells and colours of nature is one of the joys of living away from the big cities, where they are replaced with cell phones , car fumes and advertising hoardings . Your poem show what we "townies" are missing.

We connect to this imprint within us somehow- like a receiver. When I was out one day I actually had a sad and happy awareness, an intense feeling that this world was very alive and the joy we receive is so precious. Well anyway, bless you good. Kathy

How very nice to know that something in my little poem has struck a heart chord with a reader such as yourself. This poem came from a wonderful time spent alone in a beautiful wooded setting near a watershed and yes I think it was nearing twilight when everything grew magical. You are perceptive! Bless you in writing and satisfaction within your life. Kathy
Beautiful, great choice of words, like lilt, you taught me, thank you. It was written in a fun to read language, beautifully limned and was just a great story!

I love this. I'm able to visualize and hear your beautiful description. It made me long for a lonely do nothing kind of day the kind where plans don't exist and guilty pleasures are accepted. I love the details, I too bask in them. Lovely, just lovely piece!!
