Woods show your beauty

Woods show your beauty

A Poem by Kathy Van Kurin
"

A favorite place of mine where I find peace and solitude and sense of strength within a natural wooded beauty.

"

The woods shared her beauty today.
Each variant tree festooned in leafy garb.
The woods shared her grace today,
native creatures buzzing all round.

In strength the grove stands,
attending to language only its own.
Is there a clue of what life should be
 for you, for me?

Amidst tempest,
this  grove refuses to flee its station
but  yields
giving itself in the power of each gust.

Can we learn
 to bend amidst life storms,
open to lessons within our days?

Enclosing peaceful  solitude
Is the presence of  my Lord.
 at life's end
Heaven will be my perfect reward.

Phew! It brought peace in me.... :)
This reminds me of my village which I've hardly visited it past few years....that serene place always used to soothe my soul...now in this crowd I barely can think of goin' there again....
I loved reading the beauty of woods here....just simply captivating :)

Your words are peaceful. Your thoughts calming. You must be a poetic counselor or something? Bending storms to pass in peace with words.

Growing up in the woods surrounding our homes as my parents moved often, allowed God to supply my inner needs; giving me peace in the confusion of a growing child. Ever from those days, my first excursion in a new place is to wander alone to see first hand the workings of the Lord. Maybe I don't see everything clearly then, but I have been resupplied with His strength from that quiet time with Him alone. Thank you for your expressions.

How could it not lend the reader a feeling of peace and tranquility? I am sure most folk have such a special place, mine too is deep within our local woods. These are beautifully strung words Kathy. Cheers & All Good Things, N

I guess we are all seduced by the wonders and beauty of the woods. The irony is; what is so beautiful and welcoming during the day, becomes so menacing at night.

A fine ode to Gaia and her woodland disciples.

All true. You are welcome gracefully. .....::::))))
I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze. '

This too has similar designs and evokes a much needed tonic to the wayward soul...kudos Kathy !
