destressing

destressing

A Poem by katey_patatey
"

how I destress

"

I walk away

You walk away

She walks away

They walk away

That’s how it goes

When I’m stressed that’s it

I go walking

I walk away from my house

I breathe heavily, angrily

I try to calm down

The way I always do

Making up the story as I go

I turn into you walking

As you go down the street

 You notice something behind you

Someone is following you.

You’re just imaging things right

No you hear it the sound of feet

It’s not in your head you hear it

You want to look round

You’re to scared

You don’t know what to do

Then you turn into she

She feels the blood coursing through her veins

Where to go there’s no where to hide

Run just run it’s the only way out

She can’t stop what ever happens

The wind is whipping by her face

Its trying to hold her back

She’s running out of breath

Her pace is slowing

She hears a voice calling her name

She turns into they

They watch the girl

They need her

Each step the girl takes

The father they are from answers

They call out to her

To get her attention they need her

They can not get through to her

They keep calling the girl won’t listen

They have no choice

Capture is the only option

They must get to the girl

They turns into she

She felt them nearing her

They’re still calling

 She whirls around

Sees’ them closing in

She’s shocked their not big and monstrous

They’re small they’re goblins and fairies

She wondered why they wanted her

She tried run again

The fairies called to her

Holding her their

She fell to the ground from the force

She closed her eyes tight

She hear them in her ears

We need you back!

The kingdom is falling apart

She doesn’t understand

We know you were mad

The queen has changed

She couldn’t listen any longer

She flails her limbs getting away

I’ll never go back!

She didn’t recognize her voice

She turns into you

You open your eyes

Your skin is not yours

It’s not you laying there

You’re green with blue spots

Your memories are expanding

You’re remembering things from long ago

When you were young

You didn’t always look like you do

You were one of these little people

Importance was known with your face

You left the Kings side

You were on a mission

Against the Queen

You left out a laugh

Echoing through the trees

You new voice can be heard again

A sing song tone can be heard

You LIE!!!!

Only my King will come for me

You’re with the Queen

You give out one violent thrash

The queen’s fairies fling back

You stand on your toes ready to pounce

Leave me be or you’ll be trounced

I serve my King

You strut back up the way

Leaving furious fairies in your mists

Changing back to a common skin

You turns back into I

I’m feeling okay now

Now that I’m walking home

I think of the stress I let off

And the fairies that roam

Just to make sure I stay on my toes

I’m back home again

They walked home

She walked home

You walked home

I walked home
