Stars

Stars

A Poem by Kate

I spend my days waiting for the stars to fall.
I look up at the night sky, unable to comprehend how they can possibly stay where they are.
Trapped so high, there always seems to be a sadness surrounding them.
Like they are crying where they hang in the infinite vacuum of space.
Burning, ready to cave in on themselves,
Creating a supernova so incredibly bright, so complex, that angels weep at the sight of it.
These are the things that haunt me in the darkness of night.
Where I am condemned,
Where the light of the stars are the only spec of beauty in my otherwise damned existence.
Unable to sleep, unable to really wake up.
Stuck between two worlds and unable to touch either.
Alone in my suffering.

About
I love writing and use it as a way to vent my emotions. I don't know if I'm any good, as I'm my own worst critic. Being that I use writing as an emotional outlet, every piece is very personal and has .. more..
