Addictions

Addictions

A Poem by Kate

I dream of waking next to your perfection.
The sunlight spilling through the cracks in the window curtains,
Highlighting the hazel in your eyes.
Sheets rumpled, eyelids heavy, hair completely askew,
And a small smile on your face as you drink me in.
You'd never been so beautiful to me.
As in a hazy cloud of cigarette smoke,
You're an addiction I don't want to break.

About
I love writing and use it as a way to vent my emotions. I don't know if I'm any good, as I'm my own worst critic. Being that I use writing as an emotional outlet, every piece is very personal and has .. more..
