Memories Fading

Memories Fading

A Poem by Kate

Every hour that you don't respond I want you more.
And I repeat you.
I repeat you until your very existence has been pounded into my bruised and bleeding heart.
For I refuse to let you be just a memory,
A ghost to haunt me every waking hour.
I beat the memories into my mind until I see them, burned into my eyelids every time I close them,
Like the little orbs of light after a bright flash.
Just as quickly, you were gone, and everyday I fall in love again with your memory.
I will forever be trapped in the torment I crave that is your crooked love.

About
I love writing and use it as a way to vent my emotions. I don't know if I'm any good, as I'm my own worst critic. Being that I use writing as an emotional outlet, every piece is very personal and has .. more..
