Transfixed

Transfixed

A Poem by Kate

The question has changed from,
"How can I love you?" to,
"How can I ever stop?"
The second I let go of my inhibitions you found your way into my cautious, fractured heart.
With every kiss and every laugh you dug yourself in deeper.
Your hushed whispers and delicate caress tangled their way through my heartstrings and rescued me from the ocean of loneliness in which I was drowning so quickly.
You brought me out of the darkness and taught me what it is to love another without constraint.
I've been corrupted by your love,
Consumed by your nature,
Transfixed by everything you choose to be.
And I would follow you to the ends of the earth if it meant I could hear your beautiful lips whisper my name one last time.
Even unrequited, my love for you is eternal.

About
I love writing and use it as a way to vent my emotions. I don't know if I'm any good, as I'm my own worst critic. Being that I use writing as an emotional outlet, every piece is very personal and has .. more..
