She waits for the right time

She waits to tell him

Goodbye.

 

No longer there,

Vacant are her eyes.

She waits,

She waits.

 

There was no note

She could not wait any longer

Goodbye is forever

Goodbye is now

 

She doesn’t know where she’s going

And she doesn’t know why

Her heart tells her goodbye.

 

She had a lot to say

But she thought her time away

Wasting precious words on thoughts

That never quite formulated.

 

I’m sorry

 

She gets a one-way ticket somewhere,

Not know where,

She cries and she cries.

The tears they never dry.

 

I’m sorry

 

No more waiting

No more crying,

All she can do is breathe.

This is a deep and thought provoking piece. I like the format and how your thoughts flow so freely.

I think that this is a piece that has a lot of sides to it and that there are a lot of situations that it applies to. Goodbyes are forever ... and sometimes goodbye is for the best.

The last line is the perfect ending. "All she can do is breathe." That says so much.
