Spring

Spring

A Poem by Katrina Mckeown

From sweet early

morning dew

and a pale sun that shone over silver beams ..

From the bottom of a garden

came the scent of a red rose ..

from a white

mist of clouds

flew songbirds and busy bees ..

from the sands on our beaches

to the lakes near our homes

flowed gentle gurgulling streams ..

from the depth

of the bluest oceans

dolphins leaped in delight...

from planet earth

came joy with spring.

what i like the most about this is its scope ..i think you have met the sense of universal glory enriching our lives on the planet ... it seems to me it would be easy to make this epic as there is so much to say ..but you have tamed the "too much" monster .. its the simplicity of your lines and fine imagery cast a definite spell .. and who does not love and adore spring time :)

You are welcome Katrina.
and here we are towards the end of fall with winter thinking about setting in.
and so many wishing it were spring instead.
