Images In The Sky

I wrote a while back

Thunder and Lightning
dashing liquids raining down
hitting off the roadsides
making splashing sounds

The clouds are becoming darker
as the wind goes whooshing by
as I watch these storms emerging
from the breathtaking
images in the sky

Breathtaking images
with lightening crashing overhead
followed by thunder rocking
up amongst the clouds
an electrical phenomenon
making their own symphonies of sound.

Good morning Katrina. Your poem describes well the storms we have had over the past couple of nights. Crashing thunder, all the electrics and sheet rain. Yes, an orchestra in the sky. I'm not complaining though. The air is fresher and the garden has had a good drink. It needed it. Thank you for posting this descriptive write.

I love a good storm. Have asked my wife numerous times to join me in a storm chasing holiday to the states but each time I'm met with " don't be daft you silly old shite "
