Right now

Right now

A Poem by Marisa Kathleen Lopez
"

Things are happening and there is no stop to it.

"
Right now,

Someone is being born,                                                                     Someone is dying

A baby is smiling for the first time,                    A grandparent is smiling for the last time

A child just made a new memory,                                              An adult forgot a lesson

A teen is making a new friend,                           While another is losing their best friend

Two adults are becoming parents,                              A child is losing their grandparent

A grandparent is seeing their new grandchild,  A baby never got to see its' grandparents.

All, right now.

I wrote this a million times, same thoughts, same concept, but just not the right words to tell it. Comments on grammar, spelling, concept, or even the style? Also, I ask you to tell me the first thing you thought after reading this poem, please. :)

I absolutely Loved this one. I think along these lines all the time. Am well aware, well aware of the passage of time. The preciousness of moments so I think of TIME when I read your poem and the magicness of time, the magicness of life, and of course- what makes it magical and precious, is - the magicness of death!
