Your Memory Remains.

Your Memory Remains.

A Poem by Autumn Rose
"

This was written to a dear friend whose love of her life passed away. He was a good friend of mine as well and I was completely heart broken by her condition.

"

I think of you as I lay awake.

And I can't seem to forget your repeated mistake.

I think of you when I close my eyes.

And I cant seem to forget your painfuls lies.

I think of you throughout my day.

And realize I never knew what to say.

I think of you when I'm happy or sad.

And I realize you were the best I ever had.

I think of you when I think of bold.

And I imagine only you to hold.

I think of you when I think of love.

And I imagine your happy, up above.

I think of you both day and night.

And I can only wish that you were alright.

I think of you way too much.

And I can still feel your gentle touch.

I think of you and that is it.

And I need the flashback memories to quit.

I think of you as my one and only.

And I need you here because I'm lonely.

I think of your love and all that we share.

And I just wanted to show you that I care.

I liked this poem, the emotion is true and the flow is great, though I did feel the 'flashback memories' line had too many syllables and conflicted with your flow. Perhaps just 'memories' could suffice. Other than that, great job.

This is wonderful. I really enjoy the way it flows from the very beginning, until the very ending. It is a bit of a sad story, but beautiful none the less. If I were the friend you was in grief that you wrote these words for, I would be absolutely in awe of your caring heart. You have truly created a beautiful work of art here, and I want to thank you for sharing :)
