A Poem by november
"

it's about a very dear friend of mine who i consider to be one of my soulmates

"

I don’t know anything

I don’t know any important things to talk about or ask

But I do know him

And I do want to talk about him

I want to talk about how he’s the sun

And the moon and the stars

Because he’s everything

I want to talk about how he’s the color red

And peach cobbler and airports and apple juice

And slow dancing in the kitchen at night

I want to talk about how he’s turtle doves on

a spring morning and how all his words

Are warm and soft and perfect, like him

I want to tell everyone everything about him,

Because I love him,

Because I’d give up all the flowers

and trees

and oceans

Just to never stop being his friend

He’s sweet and gentle and perfect

And I’d never tell him

But I think he has a sun

For a soul

I think that resting in his chest

Instead of a ribcage

Instead of lungs or a heart

Instead of blood and organs and bones

There’s a ball of warm light

A sun

I think he has sunflower eyes

And I think he’s the kind of person

other people write love songs about

He’s the type of person

People like me

Write poetry about

He’s the type of person

People like me

Fall utterly in love with

I think this was a beautifully written poem. It is filled with emotion and love behind every word. If someone had no clue on what love was they could read this poem to fully understand it. Very nice poem thank you for sharing it with us.
