Molasses

Molasses

A Poem by Kat
"

Molasses is a viscous by-product of the refining of sugarcane, grapes, or sugar beets into sugar. The word comes from the Portuguese melaço, ultimately derived from mel, the Latin word for honey.

"

Twins upon burial

Fighting for mothers seed

All that was in need

Yet so very unknown

Murdered by midnight

Futures became past

Their options small yet vast

With entanglement of bodies

 Scars each walk of life

Bonding with another

Although

Chained into the next life

until there was a murder again the next night.
