Closed eyes.

Closed eyes.

A Poem by kassystiletto-mermalien
"

Came to mind when I was thinking about the magic of the rapidness of occurrences of when we blink.

"
Stepping into a portal
A hallway stretches out
Floating around seem to be preventions
for what is to aboard the ship
slowly and timidly my hands
pull down on the sails ,
nearing the end of the portal ,
 WRECKAGE.
Is all my eyes can see ,
black clouds emerging from the burnt to the floor wood
one blink - a figure fights through the smoke clouds ,
only to fall and never get up as a pure one
Two blinks - figures helping each other to keep going
Three blinks - One of those figures uses the companions as a shield causing death
Four blinks - that whom betrayed all , made it out alive
Five blinks - My last smoke filled breath  , eyelids droop down to a close ,
though not open again~

Though not open again. You should try some poetry in the form of a story...

i see what you mean, thank you :)
I love this poem, especially how you used the blinking imagery towards the end. Some great phrasing and powerful writing in there, well done!
