Love Poem #1

Love Poem #1

A Poem by kasG
"

An examination of the beauty and passion and naivete' of first love the moment before it becomes something tangible and, therefore, fallible.

"

Your hands, big and strong,

Dappled, cover mine

A testament of love,

Warm and sweet

Like mulled cider in my mug

Your eyes,

Open, pure blue, pristine

The season’s first snowfall

Undefiled, guileless

An invitation to be known

Your tears,

Ink drops on my heart

I am colored

Soaked through

A permanent Rorschach

Your love, racing, pulsing

A river teeming with

Elixir for my soul

My fountain of youth

I drink and am immortal

Your kiss,

A mystery not yet tasted

Like Manifest Destiny or

An unknown galaxy

Longing to be discovered

A very detailed piece, but never the less a very interesting piece. I can see determination in your writing, which in my opinion will get you far. (You defiantly have it in you.)

You must be somewhat of a history buff, because I am loving all of these allusions (like Manifest Destiny and the Fountain of Youth and Rorschach). Very good imagery and rhythm with the one.
