GET MY MOTOR RUNNING

GET MY MOTOR RUNNING

A Poem by Kim

Do I have to?

Gotta get my motor running

It is so cold outside

My support does not want to move

Can I have a blanket?

Now once I'm moving

I don't want to stop!

Lets just get where we are going

Oh geeze, you want me to share my heat?

Maybe I will cough and breath on you just to be mean!

I am falling apart

At one time I was beautiful

Young and fast

Wherever you wanted to go, we went

I loved showing off my red

But now 20 years later....

My support needs help all the time

Once i'm moving it's hard to stop

Its hard to heat up and I spew my smoke

My handles are gone and so is a mirror

There is a crack in my eyes

And my lights don't shine as bright

I am told twenty is old for a car

But, I did my best

I gave you some good years and lots of fun!

What do I get now, thrown away

So that nice sky blue - brand new

Fancey car can move in.

Do you see my tears?

I tried, I really tried...

In loving memory of my 1988 Ford T-Bird.  She was a beauty, at one time.  But she really was falling apart.  Thank you for all the good times Red!

I like to escape into the world of my mind which then allows the scribblings of reflection to flow. I write what I feel and what comes to mind. Some are silly, some are dark, some are good and som.. more..
