Breathing

Breathing

A Poem by Kim
"

thoughts while having an asthma attack

"

Take a breath

In and out

Should be easy

I'ts hard when it's not

Try to breath that

Life saving breath

It is so hard

It feels like death

It gets harder and harder

To breath the air in

And not feel the spin

That it can put your head in

Chest feels tight

Can't let it out

It's going to explode

If you don't win the fight

The worst feeling in the world

Slowly loosing your air

How hard can it be

To just take in air

this is a very unique topic to write about, it is crazy how the mind of a poet explores unwritten land...i love your creativity in this one and they way you took us on a journey to somewhere we have never been before, thank you

Well I wouldn't know how an asthma attack feels like because (thank God) I don't have asthma. But I can tell that it is not a good feeling at all, when you have to hold on and fight for ever breath you take in.

The description is very accurate Kim and though it look a bit 'out of the world' kind of composition, but it is not. It carries enough simple words that even a 3rd grader would be able to understand. I have seen a lot of poets to use heavy and difficult words to prove that they are intellectuals but instead they hamper the common crowd to understand the simple message hidden in between all those tough words. You have not done that and that is very nice to see.

A good write. ~KA~

I like to escape into the world of my mind which then allows the scribblings of reflection to flow. I write what I feel and what comes to mind. Some are silly, some are dark, some are good and som.. more..
