THEATRICAL ROLE

THEATRICAL ROLE

A Poem by Kim

What do you do when the bottom is gone

It fell away while your guard was down

Been so tired and withdrawn

Hiding alone in this ghost town

What to say, what to do, alone in your thoughts

Alone in your world

Can anyone see the pain in your heart, your mind, your soul?

You go on in your theatrical role

Hiding behind masks of self control

Can you smile? Can you laugh?

Can you show a flare of artistic style

Without putting yourself on trial?

What is left? Your fingers are raw

You dig and you claw

But the blood just flows

And all you hear are the echoes

About
I like to escape into the world of my mind which then allows the scribblings of reflection to flow. I write what I feel and what comes to mind. Some are silly, some are dark, some are good and som.. more..
