ALL THAT I AM

it is all so scary

to open your heart

it is not easily given

when its broken and dark

the secrets it holds

in a valley of pain

 

All that I am is an empty shell upon the wave

 

long and winding roads

led to this place of

twisted vines

running running feel the stabs

right through to the very core of your being

 

All that I am is a stone that's been kicked around

 

where is the life of dreams

the happier days

of blue sky's and hands of steel

they are hidden in the shadows

here in the dark alley

where you left the stage

 

All that I am is an empty soul

 

moving quickly through fields of thorns

is this the end or is this the

affliction of despair

thrashing and horrified

 

All that I am is a drop of blood

 

the wild consternation

is flying all around

can you feel it's all consuming grip

to pry it away is to

leave you oh so vulnerable

 

All that I am is a dark shadow on the wall

 

How do you continue

to fight the evils of the past

and what is ahead on this lonely trail

it leaves such and emptiness inside

 

All that I am is an empty box

 

out on the streets to

forge this battle

there has to be more

please don't tell me that's it

there is no more
