um, country folks? ~L~ this is a good poem. funny what inspires us. so if not for that person and their rudeness you wouldn't have shared this with us? so now i guess you will have to thank him?? nah.... :) maybe somebody will wake you up with breakfast in bed and lots of coffee next time, wouldn't that make a great poem!!!

seriously, really enjoyed the poem and your style as well, can't wait to read some more

sounds like my neighborhood......6 am hammers banging, saws sawing, trash trucks crashing , kids screaming....My Husband works like James at night and sleeps in the day like a vampire...Hard to give him a place of peace to rest when all that s**t is going on...Great job

I know this feeling very well, but it sucks even more when you go to bed at 7am... and then that jerk next-door makes up his mind, that morning is the morning to do hours and hours of yard clean-up (a symphony of chainsaws, lawnmowers and leaf blowers galore)LOL.

lol a very clever and humorous poem.. i know this feeling.. usually it is a lwan mower that awakens me.. but i guess its a must to be the heat, get out there early..
