How lovers break...A Poem by KarrarThe separation of lovers defined...
I oft had a thought, how lovers break, How from the gelled bond do they escape, From living by means of Romeo’s voice, To despising the mention of Juliet’s name. Those unsaid words, those eternal gazes, Frayed so easily, regretted to death, Those hopes, those vows, that confluence of souls, Believed to be lies, mocked with wrath. Ah, this world is a cruel place, It tatters relations to fractions. With meaningful contempt at rule, It creates major dissections. It’s true; love is blind, but it forever doesn’t stay so, With time, it gets sense to judge reality, And selfish lovers really do, Find their natural personality. It’s hard to stand, with soul rather than limbs broken, To feel no better than a hopeless effigy, But this is truth; this is reality, A cold hard fact, to build upon vitality, It’s not too sad to have another start, This is circle of life, this is nature’s path, Wipe your inner glass to be able to see, Reach out the sky for another being, And let all pray; that this one will stay, With your kite will they forever sway….
