We stare at broken dreams

That we can’t turn to anymore

Empty hearts and empty screams

Just another cold closed door

 

Farewells are overrated

Can’t understand goodbyes

Momentary kiss has faded

And turns to eternal lies

Pain being another form of seduction

Can’t tell between blades and blood

Body yearning self destruction

Another body buried in mud

 

I never noticed what has become of you

Never noticed how long you been alone

Never questioned what you were going through

Until your name was engraved in your tombstone

 

We stare at broken dreams

That we can’t turn to anymore

Your sunset eyes once filled with passion

Now look up at us all

Death has become a fashion

And like roses, we fall

 

Because these tears can only leave a trail

And this heart can only beat quietly

I’ll reach my hand down into hell

And hopefully you’ll reach yours for me

I wish there was passageway so I could see you again

I can’t let you fade to the back of my head

Because forgetting you would be my greatest sin

Without the warmth of your memory I might as well be dead

Because like time I will wizen

So give our dreams another chance at birth

Very powerful write! Strong diction and the repetition gives it a musical quality. Which is terrific! I think with a soft, mournful piano behind this it could be a hit. :D Great job!!!

woww, this is really deep and touching. The first part of this really reminded me of Bring Me The Horizon, which isn't a bad thing at all haha. it was just kinda weird at first hah, but anyway real good job on this!
