Trisha stared out the window with the black ribbon in hand; she signed and watched the people walk by.

“They’ll be back. Just wait Trisha” Mr. Bell dropped a carrot into the pot of soup; he looked up at Trisha who had a worried expression on her face.

“They have been gone for two days now” Trisha whimpered; she held the ribbon closer to her chest.

“They’re okay. You know them; they get so caught up in their ambitions that they forget to pick up a phone” Mr. Bell then coughed violently.

“Dad!” Trisha jumped up and ran to his side.

“Are you okay?” she asked, while rubbing his back until he stopped coughing.

“Yes, yes. I’m alright. I’m just catching a small cold” he smiled. Mr. Bell then went back to cooking; he began humming a tune that Trisha’s mom used to hum when she was younger.

“Dad” Trisha muttered.

“Don’t worry. The only thing you should be thinking about is your exams coming up. Me and the boys are okay” he assured.

Elsine ran across the wooden roof top; he had two spikes in his back and was losing blood quickly. A large amount of glass shot out from under Elsine’s feet; he flipped forward to avoid being hit, but a few pieces already hit him.

“Damn it. She is able to manipulate the glass around her, and seeing as most of the town is made up of glass I don’t stand a chance here” Elsine thought, while jumping to the next house. Eve rose up behind him on a pile of glass; she shot a storm of glass at him. Elsine tried to block it by turned his arm into metal, but the glass still penetrated his skin. Elsine fell off the roof and landed on his back in the middle of the street. Max slowly walked towards him; he had a grin on his face.

“That was easy” he laughed while sharpening the spikes on his arm.

“Why are you two doing this” Elsine coughed; the spikes that were in his back sunk in even more when he fell.

“Me and my sister live in a town without war. Vixions only bring war with them, so me and Eve can’t allow them to live here” Max explained.

“What a childish thought” Elsine sighed. Elsine stood to his feet and pulled the spikes out of his back.

“You think that you two can stop war by casting away the world. You two are just living in a fantasy. War will come to this town no matter how hard you try to prevent it” Elsine thought about Rushco and the rebels that tried to defend it.

“How is he able to stand after those attacks” Max groaned. Elsine snapped a spike in half and looked up at Max.

“Looks like my sibling is here” Elsine grinned. Max turned to see Jake behind him; he went to shoot a spike at him, but was then punched in the face. Max flew in a house and landed on a table.

“About time!” Elsine barked.

“What have you been up to brother? Must you be so reckless?” Jake shouted. A glass wall then appeared between Elsine and Jake; Eve jumped down off the roof and landed next to Elsine.

“Handle the younger one” Eve said coldly to Max.

“Yes sister” Max got to his feet and shot fifty spikes at Jake. Jake let out a barrier and blocked them all.

“Jake!” Elsine yelled.

“Don’t worry Elsine. I’ll be alright, just take care of your side” Jake said calmly. Elsine nodded his head and turned to Eve who had an emotionless expression.

“Wow she is creepy” Elsine muttered.

“You’ll pay for that insult” she made glass come up from the ground and surround Elsine; the glass began breaking apart and attacking Elsine. A piece of glass skinned Elsine and left him a cut. Elsine jumped out of the ring of glass ad charged Eve; Eve blocked his attack with a glass wall. The wall then exploded and sent Elsine flying.

“I have to end this before I die” Elsine thought, as he did a back flip and landed on his feet; he reached into his chest and pulled out his sword.

“A sword came out of him?” Eve gasped. Eve made an orb of glass surround Elsine; the orb started getting smaller in the attempted to crush Elsine. Elsine sword sparked; he then slammed it against the glass wall. The wall exploded and shot off shards of glass all over the place. There was too much smoke for Eve to see Elsine; she looked closer into the smoke and saw Elsine standing there with his sword resting on his shoulders.

“How can he still be alive with all those injuries?” Eve thought. Elsine grabbed his sword with both hands. A huge smile appeared on his bloody face.

“I was almost dead” he laughed to himself. Elsine rushed Eve again; she blocked with a sword made of glass, but it quickly broke once it was made.

“He’s fast” Eve mumbled. A drop of blood fell from her cheek from the sword nipping her.

“You look tired” Elsine wiped the blood out of his eyes.

“Who are you? Are you a Vixion sent from the military?” Eve asked.

“Nope. I’m just a traveler” Elsine replied.

“Well do you have a name?” she made a blade out of glass.

“Elsine. Elsine Vang” he responded.

“Well Elsine Vang this final attack will end the battle” she smiled. Elsine nodded his head; they stared at each other for awhile. Both then charged into each other; Elsine swung his sword, but Eve jumped over the attack. Eve then came down with an attack of her own; Elsine cart wheeled out of the way then ran back towards her with his sword in one hand. A rope of glass blasted out of Eve’s chest and thrusted through Elsine’s shoulder.

“Got you” Elsine muttered; he sword sparked again.

“He let me hit him!” Eve gasped; she tried to move but it was too late. Elsine hit the ground with his sword and a wave of electricity surrounded both of them.

Eve awoke in bed; her whole entire torso was covered in bandages; she rubbed her head and looked at the ceiling.

“What happened?” she mumbled.

“Your quiet the fighter. Good thing I didn’t use all my power in that blast or I would have killed you” Elsine sighed. Eve sat up and saw Elsine sitting at the foot of her bed; she looked at where her bandages were placed and blushed.

“Did you touch me you pervert” she yelled.

“I didn’t touch you!” he yelled back

“No need to worry I put the bandages on you” Nina assured, while walking into the room.

“Great I had confused girl feel up on me” Eve whimpered.

“What’s that suppose to mean?” Nina barked. Eve ignored Nina and looked around the room.

“Where am’ I and where is Max?” Eve asked.

“You’re in my hotel room and your brother is resting in Nina’s room across the hall. He took a huge beaten from Jake” Elsine laughed.

“I’m glad he is okay” she exhaled in relief; Eve looked up at Elsine who was staring into space.

“Why didn’t you kill me?’ Eve asked. Elsine imagined Trisha face.

“The determination in your eyes reminded me of someone” Elsine replied. Elsine pulled the Band-Aid off his cheek; his cut had already healed.

“That’s amazing” Nina exclaimed.

“My body contains faster regeneration because of the extra nutrition from my Vixion abilities” Elsine explained, while taking the bandages off his stomach and arms. Eve turned away from Elsine; it felt wrong to her to watch him undress his bandages.

“Hey Eve” Elsine said, as he pulled a piece of glass out of skin.

“Hm?” she groaned.

“Is there a town walking distance that we can go to so we can take a train?” Elsine asked.

“I’m afraid not. The nearest place is Gingy and you have to take a boat there” she replied.

“Hah of course” he sighed.

“Is there something wrong with that?” Nina questioned.

“Yea I-“ Elsine paused.

“I cntsim” he mumbled.

“What?” Nina couldn’t understand his mumbling.

“I can’t swim” Elsine clarified. Eve giggled under her breath; she hid her smile under the bed sheet.

“Is there something funny” Elsine gave her an evil stare. Eve shook her head quickly; she then stood up and walked to the door.

“I have to go check up on my brother” Eve said.

“Don’t push yourself or your wounds will reopen. I’m sure he is okay; Jake is there with him. Just rest” Elsine suggested.

“I can’t rest until I know he is alright” she replied, while leaving the room. Elsine stood up and walked into the bathroom; he looked into the mirror and fixed his hair.

“I have never seen someone so in love with themselves” Nina laughed, while turning into Elsine’s form.

“Maybe you’ll find some attraction in me if I were you” she teased, while puckering her lips.

“Your wrong. I hate the way I look” Elsine smiled at the mirror; he shook his head and splashed water on his face.

“It’s because I look exactly like him. I even have his hair color. I envy Jake for looking like our mother” Elsine said. Elsine pushed Nina out the room and closed the door.

“I’m sorry” Nina whispered. Eve walked back into the room; she looked at Nina who was still in Elsine’s form.

“I want to thank you for sparing my life Elsine” Eve smiled, while walking over to Nina.

“Oh I’m not-“ Nina paused from Eve kissing her on the lips.

“I better go check up on Eve” Elsine said, as he opened the door; he looked at Nina and Eve.

“Um” Elsine blinked. Eve looked up at Elsine and moved back; Nina then turned back into her self.
“I knew you were confused!” Eve screamed.
