The Contrary Thought

In the land of mental darkness, reason is lost
Necessity is telling me to negate the truth before its proven false
And if I'd admit the time I spent spinning theories into laws
My principles would expose pockmark flesh from an alternating cause

Systematic conviction, descending into entropy
Madness harboring a smile, stretching to be free
Awakened, from its dogmatic slumbers
Senseless in perception to a world that it hungers
