Fallen

Fallen

A Poem by Kori Fitch
"

Endlessly inspired by the Sufi- Hafiz...where the mix of the lover is maybe physical and divine...as we seem to be searching for a lover we really are searching for the divine in the cosmos...

"

Fallen

When I fall I want to not rise
from the depths

I want to stay fallen

When I take the step towards you
and disappear  into the unknown bliss

there shall be no resurrection
for if I abandoned all that I am
for this journey, I do not want to return.

I want to shift completely
fall from my ignorance into rapture
into light

 I am the divine hunter
out on the horizon, seeking you in every

Bush and water hole, every sad brow

And open sky

The descent has begun
for your slow breath
and smoldering flame has started a burn

I want to be ashes
consumed by the heat of the shift

my body is no longer heavy
my cells are ready for more revolutions
they are desiring more than this illusion

silence vibrates faster
I can feel the vapor rise as I fall
into energy on fire , a frequency of passion is
a black hole of love taking all
matter, light with it
I want to fall into the dark cosmos
Where no you and I exist.

The profound love and intense desires of a committed philosopher.
Admirable, inspiring and, maybe, just a little scary.
Fascinating work, Kori!

Desire juxtaposed with a craving for the peace perchance to be found in figurative immolation. A bit of a curious contrast, nevertheless, it comes off well served by the strength of technique, and sexual passion being the spine of this work. The contrast works for me. An emotionally powerful piece. A great write.

The poem is amazing. Each set of lines strong and create thoughts to ponder. I like the flow of thoughts and the very good ending. This are my favorite kinds of poem. Must be read a second time for the pleasure of the words and meaning. Thank you for the outstanding poetry.
