Cosmic Muse

Cosmic Muse

A Poem by Kori Fitch
"

A nature-focused type of poem. This is a attempt at being a bit mystical.

"
Cosmic Muse
The solstice summons us into
the cosmic sea,
ever lost on the
outer reaches of a galaxy.
Are we like Odysseus?
the lost noble wanderers?
The dark winter has been too long
true sailing is dead
our compass lost
the stars wait for our return
The solstice summons us
into her dark realm
where she conspires to seduce us
with long nights and mystery
When will we understand
the depths of our own inner land?
When shall we see that we have an
endless sun inside of our
dark winter?
The heartbeat of the cosmos lives
in the eternal cold darkness
but gives birth to endless stars, galaxies
novas, and frequencies of love
what else could this creation be?
the lost sailors move to the rhythm of
the oceans, waves of sorrow and waves or rapture
and sometimes drown in the chaos of being
remember and seek the inner realms of light
one day you will rise like water burned by the sun
We seek the solstice
for the memory of distant suns
and our own shining exploding soul enfolding
allowing the rapture of the mystery to begin
We are all just blazing flames
trapped in time and space
using gravity to wield our fate
like muses burned by the memory of fire.

I love the abstract mystical and strange type of themes in writing. Questions of a metaphysical nature that has us wondering our place in the vastness of this universe. An enjoyable read with striking symbolism. Thank you for sharing your poem with us.
